About the Speaker

Tobacco Policy Postdoctoral Scholar, Department of Health, Society and Behavior, University of California, Irvine

Ana Herrera, PhD, MPH is a Tobacco Policy Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Health, Society and Behavior at UC Irvine. As an alum of the CDC Public Health Scholars Program and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Health Policy Research Scholars Program, she has extensive experience conducting mixed-methods research on health inequities across diverse populations. With over a decade of collaboration with government, philanthropic, and non-profit organizations, her work examines systemic factors shaping health equity and translates research into actionable strategies. She earned her PhD in Health Behavior and Health Education from The University of Texas at Austin and an MPH from the University of Texas School of Public Health.
