Bio:
Guilherme Zamperlin Redondo is a Ph.D. student in the Public Health program at the University of California, Merced. As a dentist trained in Brazil, he brings clinical experience caring for patients affected by tobacco use, which has shaped his research interests in tobacco and nicotine cessation.
His interdisciplinary, community-engaged research focuses on tobacco-related disparities in underserved communities, particularly rural and agricultural communities. His work examines access to and utilization of dental care and the role of dental professionals in supporting smoking cessation, with the goal of identifying opportunities to address tobacco-related disparities through oral health care.
