Bio: 
Kesia Garibay is a fifth-year PhD candidate at UC Merced in the Public Health program with a focus in Health Policy. She received her B.A. and M.S. in Public Health from UC Merced. Her research interests include the impact of health policy on underserved communities and understanding how policy addresses health disparities. She is currently working with Professor Nancy Burke in the Health Equity Research (HER) Lab in understanding the perspective of parents from the Central Valley in vaccinating their children. Kesia is the Fall 2023 recipient of the Central Valley Graduate Fellowship.
