Bio: 
Stephanie Nathan, MPH, is the Assistant Public Health Director for Madera County Department of Public Health. She has been in this role since 2018, overseeing non-clinical department programs including Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) program, Maternal Child Adolescent Health, Community Wellness (health education and policy) , Epidemiology and Vital Statistics, and the newly formed EPIC section which includes Equity, Emergency Preparedness, Quality Improvement /Accreditation and Communication. Ms. Nathn led department efforts towards accreditation and was active in the development of the department’s first strategic plan, community health improvement plan, and performance management and quality improvement systems. She received her Master of Public Health degree from Loma Linda University in Health Policy and Leadership and Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California, Riverside. She has a combined 15 years of experience in the field of public health working in the non-profit, corporate, and local government settings with demonstrated expertise in management, strategic planning, grant administration, policy, systems and environment efforts, and equity-focused initiatives. Ms. Nathan has been a lecturer at the University of California, Merced for the undergraduate public health program since 2017.
