PhD Program: Public Health
Born in Zacatecas, Mexico, David received his B.S. in Management from University of California at Merced in 2013. David taught at Merced High School as a student teacher and served as a substitute teacher in Merced County prior to attending graduate school. His research is motivated by the desire to understand environmental justice issues created by air pollution in the California Central Valley. His primary focus is to understand the public’s perception on air pollution and analyze local air quality trends.
